Competitive Bowlers Tour Tournament held - Royal Z Lanes in Goose Creek hosted the CBC Scratch & Handicap 5-Game Sweeper on February 14, 2010. Scratch Division has 11 entries and the Handicap Division had 9 entries. The results of the tournament are:

Scratch Division - 1st place Pete Wagner (+211) $300

2nd place Robert Brock (+207) $160

Handicap Division - 1st place Simon Leblanc (+216) $300

2nd place Riley Hackney (+195) $70

The Charleston Traveling 8-Game Scratch January Tournament was held at Royal Z Lanes on January 17th.

Sixty-two bowlers came out to compete for the top honors and the 1st place prize.

Mark Roth Charity Auction and Tournament held - Royal Z Lanes in Columbia hosted the Old Dog/Young Dog Mark Roth Charity Tournament on December 26th. Bowlers from around the south region came out to support the Mark Roth Charity event and try to take home the first place prizes. The live Auction is now closed and was a huge success. Thank you to the pros who donated autographed memorabilia as well as to the bowling fans who bid on the items. All money raised will be donated to the Roth family. The results of the tournament are:

The SC USBC State Open and Women's Match Game Tournament was held at Royal Z Lanes on Oct 31 - Nov 1. The Tournament was presented by the SC USBC Association, Performance Plus Pro Shop, and Royal Z. 

34 bowlers came out to try and take the Open top honors and the cash prize. 14 Women participated in the Women's portion of the tournament. Participants bowled 8 games (6 games for the women) on Saturday on the Boardwalk Pattern and Sunday the bowlers bowled on the Highway to Hell pattern.

Tony Todd, pictured to the right, took home 1st place plaque and cash prize. Michelle Smith, pictured above, took home the 1st place plaque and cash prize for the Women's tournament.  Final standings for both the open and women's tournament can be found on the SC USBC website.

Shawn Hutto and Michelle Smith claim top GCUSBC honors  - Royal Z Lanes in Goose Creek hosted the Greater Charleston United States Bowling Congress Open and Women's City Mach games Tournaments the weekend of September 26-27. Twenty-Five men and eight women came out to try to claim the title of City Champion.

Dorchester Lanes hosted the 1st Annual PBA South Region Summerville, SC Open on September 11-13, 2009.

Congratulations to Mike Moore for taking home the 1st place title.

Summerville's Josh Chambliss takes home top honors at the PBA South Region Gastonia, NC Open on June 28th.The tournament was bowled on the Cheetah pattern. Josh managed to defeat Ritchie Allen, who has won several PBA titles in the finals (244-227).  Congrats to Josh from all of us at CharlestonBowling.com!

The PBA South Region Ft. Benning, GA Open was held on the weekend of May 22nd. CharlestonBowling.com's Allan Pomatto placed 4th in the event. Allan qualified 4th and won his first match play round. Allan finished 4th overall in the tournament. Click here for full results. Congrats to Allan for the great bowling!!   

 

The 1st Annual Relay for Life - King of the Hill Tournament was held at Dorchester Lanes on April 12th.

The final match paired the top seed Josh Chambliss (280, 221: 501) against Brandon Fisher (208,200: 408). While Brandon had a good start Josh continued to strike to win the “Relay for Life - King of the Hill”.

This event raised money for the 2009 Relay for Life in Summerville. A total of $143.00 was raised. A big thanks to all who participated and sponsored this event!

 

 

The 2nd Annual SC USBC State Senior Match Game Tournament was held at Royal Z Lanes on February 21-22. The Tournament was presented by the SC USBC Association. 

20 bowlers came out to try and take top honors and the 1st place prize. Participants bowled 8 games on Saturday and 8 games on Sunday.

Jeff Bellinger, pictured to the left, took home 1st place plaque and $450 prize. He finished with a score of 891.  Final standings after 8 games:

The 1st Annual Hangover Scratch Tournament was held at Dorchester Lanes on January 1st. The Tournament was held by Strike Club Pro Shop and CharlestonBowling.com. 

24 bowlers came out to try and take top honors and the $450 prize. Participants bowled 10 games on the Kegel Winding Road Pattern.

Jeff Evans won 1st place , David Tolson won 2nd, Robert White, Jr. placed 3rd, and Mike Albert won 4th place.
