GCUSBC - 2009 Youth City Tournament Awards Ceremonies

Once again the GCUSBC did a super job with the Youth City Tournament and Hall of Fame award ceremonies! Coach Ted Pafu did an outstanding job with the presentations and kept the day rolling smoothly along. The event was held at the Charleston Riffle Club and had over 150 parents and youth bowlers in attendance. The event was also supported by CharlestonBowling.com, Piggly wiggly and many of the bowling centers in Charleston.

The day started our with the Hall of Fame induction of Miss Carol O'Brien. She is now in the company of some very supportive and special people in the Charleston youth bowling community. One interesting note is that anyone can nominate someone for the Hall of Fame during the nomination window. If you are interested in submitting someone for consideration, you should contact the GCUSBC to get more details.

After a delicious meal, catered by Fazolis, the presentations continued with the 2009 Charleston Youth City tournament winners. It was great to see that so many centers participated in the event and that the Parents, Coaches and Association are so supportive of the youth program in Charleston. You could see the eyes of the bowler light up when their name was called and the trophy was presented for their achievements.
