Joshua Raymond Chambliss was born in Memphis, TN. He moved
to Southaven, MS at age one and lived there until he left
for the Air Force in 1999. Josh graduated from Southaven
High School in 1998 and attended Northwest Community College
for one year before joining the Air Force.
Josh
has one brother and two sisters: Danny, Diana, and Hannah.
He joined the Air Force in November 1999 and was stationed
in Charleston on Jun 27, 2000. Josh joined Maintenance
Special Operations Sep 1, 2002. He is an E-5 and plans on
staying with the Air Force for at least 20 years.
During his duty in the Air Force, Josh has been to a total
of 51 countries on 5 different continents. He has not been
to Australia yet, but hopes to make that trip during his
tenure with the Air Force.
Josh
is dedicated to the sport of bowling; he began bowling at
age two and shot a 12 for his first game. He began bowling
league at age four and shot his first 300 game at the of 16
and his first 800 at age of 17. He now has 14 USBC 300's, 13
800's, and one PBA 300. Josh also finished 20th in the 1999
Collegiate Masters and won the 2002 Charleston City Match
Games.
He
cashed in his first PBA regional tournament in 2001 in
Shallote, NC, the same weekend he officially joined the PBA.
Josh has one PBA victory with eight match play appearances.
Josh’s most memorable bowling-related experience was when he met his now wife, Tina at Dorchester Lanes. Josh and Tina were married in 2007, and have twin girls, Ava and Amber.
Josh
started his pro shop career in 2001 and has been drilling
ever since. He is currently in the process of signing with
Columbia 300, and a member of VISE staff.
